This is the second Talking Sailor I've owned. I sold my first one back in 2000. I acquired this one as part of a large collection of boxed figures that I purchased in 2004.

The set is in store stock unplayed with condition. The figure is super stiff with no play wear whatsoever. The uniform is very interesting. The shirt is a single pocket talker V neck with three buttons, two snaps and is tagged GI Joe R Hasbro Hong Kong. The pants have the front pockets like the Sea Aventurer pants but have two blackish colored snaps instead of the single silver snap found on Sea Adventurer pants. The pants are not tagged as was common with many GI Joe pants. The set has all of the talker paperwork, including Talker Instructions, GI Joe Club folder, narrow Navy Manual, Removal of Boots instructions, comic, rank insignia and ID ribbons. The box is a beautiful example with only minor shelf wear. It still has the Carroll House price tag, $4.79. Overall, a very cool set.
